Dendrelaphis formosus
Dendrelaphis formosus is a species of snake that was described by Boie in 1827. Dendrelaphis formosus is part of the genus Dendrelaphis and the family of snakes.
No subspecies are listed in the Catalog of Life.[5] The species occurs in Southeast Asia and in the western part of the Australian region on the southern Malacca Peninsula, Borneo, Sumatra, Java and on several smaller islands in the region up to the Aru Islands. It lives in the lowlands up to 600 meters above sea level.
The habitat consists of different types of forests and gardens and areas around villages are also visited. Dendrelaphis formosus hunts lizards and sometimes amphibians. Females lay eggs.
